Ichiro, Part Deux

Will they or won't they?

The Yankees inquired about Ichiro and were told ownership wouldn't trade him.

But is that "wouldn't trade him, period", or "wouldn't trade him to the Yankees"?

That article goes on to say:

Ichiro recently went on a public diatribe about Mariners problems, and although he didn't name names, he is unhappy with both Hargrove and GM Bill Bavasi (Newsday has learned that Hargrove and Bavasi recently proposed trading Ichiro and that Ichiro suggested Hargrove's firing, which should make for an uncomfortable spring reunion).

Sounds like Ichiro wants out of Seattle, bad. I think the Cubs should find a way to accomodate him.
