Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Something interesting concerning the Braves...

I was visiting the Braves SBN website, http://www.talkingchop.com/, and the most recent entry says "Be sure to check back around 11:30 AM Eastern time for an exciting announcement right here at TalkingChop.com!" Could the author of the post know something about a certain shortstop that we don't know yet?

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, managing editor (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

Could be a good announcement for us......
The poster on the Braves site appears to be a D-Ray fan and there has been some talk recently about the Braves acquiring Julio Lugo and Baez from Tampa.  Maybe there is some creedence to this.  If this happens, I'm guessing Raffy will be a Cub in the not so distant future.  Let's hope the BIG announcement is the Braves getting Lugo.

We can only hope, can't we?
Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?

BCB qustion Al
Is this the most active blog on this network?  Cause all the other team blogs on the right column I look at don't have nearly the amount of activity as this site.  Just kinda curious.

The only other SB Nation blog...
... that gets as much/more traffic these days, is Athletics Nation.

Absolutely True.
Some of the other...no, lets say most...of the blogs here have fallen asleep.
And their posts are usually about nothing.
Or -- in some cases, underwear. (Gaslamp Ball)

I'm not kidding.

And this has nothing to do about the lack of underwear on naked butt girl.

Ya know...
... Talking Chop just about gave us heart failure; the "big announcement" is that he's going to have an interview with John Schuerholz.

by Al Yellon on Dec 2, 2005 11:12 AM CST reply actions

Yeah
Though if we were to interview Hendry, we would be pretty excited, too.
According to the Chicago Tribune: "The Oakland A's are 32-0 when they have scored more runs than their opponents.
