Jocketty is crying

Walt Jocketty (Cardinal scum) is saying that the market has "gone crazy" and that he won't go crazy with it.  I think this is another way of him crying and whining because he is not having a very good off-season so far.  He so far has lost Grud (who I wouln't mind having back if we trade Walker for a right fielder), Sanders, Mabry, Tavarez (who cares),  and traded King.  I'm not sure why he traded King.  He was pretty reliable in their bull pen.
Jockety really wanted Burnett and could not pull it off.  Now it looks like his back up plan of resigning Morris might not work out either.  I really hope Morris moves on and he cries a little more.  I love to see the Cards squirm.
They will not be a 100 win ball club again next year.  Houston is another year older and I don't see them improving.  If the Cubs are going to reclaim the Central then next year is the year to do it.

hmm
They've got Prince Fielder coming up, I'm not 100% sure of them though.

good point
The Brewers are getting better, but I don't think they are good enough to win the division.  I would rather battle them than St. Louis or Houston though.  At least that would change things up at the top.  It would also shut all these Cardinal fans down here in Peoria up.

Regarding Morris...
... he's apparently headed to either the Giants or Reds.

Cincinnati
After Eric Milton, it's hard to imagine any starter intentionally choosing to pitch half their games in Cincinnati unless they threw all sorts of money at him, which seems unlikely considering their budget limitations.  Morris would be much better off in SF, though the Cubs usually hit him well, so maybe we should want him to go to Cincy after all.

Giants PLEASE
Then he and Kline could be teamates again
and face Prior in a game. Actually I was kind of hoping
he might stay as we finally seemed to beat him the
last few years. If he goes to the Reds he must
be DESPERATE for money but yes he did say
just today that he is NOT going back to the Cardinals

Why trade King
Ray had some problems last year, so that he wasn't used much in the playoffs.  He asked to be traded (unofficially), then changed his mind later.  The Cards are reportedly close to signing Ricardo Rincon to replace him.  Rincon should be about as good as King was.

Does Soriano's defense at 2B really cost more runs than in LF? He makes a lot fewer errors in LF since misplays and mental mistakes aren't figured into the stats, but I have to imagine that his mistakes are more physical at 2B. Any thoughts? Is there a statistic on this?
