Okay, I have to say this...

Let's just say we are all supersticious, people who believe it Karma, worldly balance, and utter the words "we're due this year" more often than can be counted each and every season.  Let's just say that we subscribe to the theory that when things have not worked out in the recent past, that things are going to turn around because, I don't know...the baseball Gods are fair entities and wouldn't keep doin this to us again and again (yeah right). Anyway, if we were these type of people, wouldn't it make sense to think that taking a chance here, when/if we get it, would be a smart gamble?  Wouldn't one agree that if presented with the opportunity to trade our number 1/2 pitcher for an all star/home run champion SS at this time, that we wold have to take that chance?  YES, Prior is an incredible talent who has yet to get the chance to show it all.  And yes, hendry would have to jump in on the bidding for the best replacement available.  And YES Tkes10, pitching is at least half of what wins games and the World Series.  But, being the supersticious fans that we are...isn't it about that time to say, "we're due"?  We picked up Nomar, a multi-year all star SS/ batting champion and did so at very little cost (at leat that is what it seemed). Did that work out?  Not exactly how we wanted. Aren't we due?  Due to make a trade (VERY similar I might add)that ACTUALLY works to our benefit? And we are going to offer up something of value to boot.  Won't that sway the baseball Gods at all?  I'm sorry, the only way to make good deals in the baseball world (and real world I might add) is to give something up to get something in return.  I wish it could be Woody as much as anyone else but I think it is high time to just lay it out and hope for that return...come on people, WE REALLY ARE DUE!
