Anyone have tickets to Aug. 28 - Sandberg game

Hello all,

I have been reading the Cubs blogs for the past couple of years but never posted on them before.  Al, I love this page, as it has freqent updates and the cartoons are great.  I'm "pathetic Cubs fan" (according to my Card's rooting friends) stuck here in Mid-Missouri.  I grew up a Cubs fan in northern Missouri thanks to WGN.  I got more Cubs game than any other, besides Braves games, and as an impressionable 7 year old began rooting for the Cubbies.  I grew up idolizing the likes of Sandberg, Dawson, Maddux, Grace, etc.  Watching Sandberg play flawless D, hit homers, doubles, and steal bases provide me with my fondest memories of childhood.  Naturally, when I saw that #23 was going to be retired I wanted to be there to witness it.  Blame it on naivety, but I had never had to bother with the fight for tickets.  Or rather yet, I have never seen the Cubs live when they were contenders and everyone wanted to see them.  So, when the wife gave the go ahead to pursue tickets for the Aug. 28 game I was sorely disappointed that all the tickets were sold out.  I completely understand why someone visiting the BCB wouldn't want to part with tickets to this game, but I'm on my hands and knees hoping that someone might have extra tickets for this game.  Please God, help me! ;)

I, like everyone esle, can't wait for the season to begin and the 1st televised spring game next Monday.  From the land of Cubs fans far and few, I say GO CUBBIES! I look forward to following this site throughout the season to provide some excitement during those dull summer afternoons at work!

Good luck
Its always good to hear there is another Cubs fan here in Missouri.  Hopefully our record this year will shut up some of those sorry Cardinal fans.  I hear ya on the Sandberg game.  I would love to go to that myself.  It was great to see him get in the hall this year.  He was my absolute favorite player when I was growing up.  One of my greatest thrills as a kid was sitting up in the LAST row of the upper deck, first base side, watching him win the home run derby in 1990.  Good luck in your quest for those tickets.

Tickets to the Aug 28th game
...can be had on Stubhub.com. They're at least affordable, but certainly not cheap. I've bought from them in the past, and was very happy with the transaction. I think it'll be pretty durn hard to find face value tickets, and with these you have a decent selection of seats from which to choose.

I might have some extra tickets!
I won the lottery for Dugout/Bullpen seats and I'm going to try to get those seats to this game.  I already have upper deck reserved tickets to this game.  If I get these dugout/bullpen seats to this game, I have some extra tickets.  I'll let you know.

Please let me know if
you can get the dugout seats.  I would be forever grateful!
