Patterson vs Dubois

I hate to beat a dead horse, but I came across this article about Patterson and Dubois.  We've all heard the arguments for and against Korey, however this is telling of the kind of person he is off the field.  We don't need this kind of attitude on or off the field. I wasn't surprised by this at all....

This...
... given what I've heard about Corey, doesn't surprise me a bit.

Good for Dubois
I'm sure he was just as excited to sign it as the kid was to recieve it. =)

What's
What's the policy about early arrivals and player meetups in Wrigley? I find this story quite... void. Don't get me wrong, I believe it, but it seems all too easy. Like you can walk inside the stadium and meet players while they practice.

Sounds like...
this was going on during BP, probably shortly after the gates were opened.

In fairness....
Maybe Corey forgot, or was focusing down on the game for the day.

I think the most interesting thing about this is it made the website, as the story could be 100% fake.

Although I don't think so, the fact that it made the website demonstrated an interesting (tactical) choice for the Trib to make.

Corey...
... "focusing"?

When have any of us seen that?

by Al Yellon on Jun 12, 2005 4:12 AM CDT up reply actions

The Trib has been rough on Corey lately...
the same way they were rough on Sosa before he was traded. I think Corey's on his way out of town, and soon. If we don't trade him by the end of July, i think we'll probably trade him in the offseason. We just better get value in return - i'm thinking Dunn, Ichiro, Huff - top-level talent guys that can help us for years to come.
The Cubs will thrive in twenty-oh-five!

Ichiro
Ichiro's untouchable. The Mariners said so.

Can't agree with you more....
Seeing nasty comments about Corey in the Trib means to me he'll be gone soon...and having watched Dusty's M.O. long enough now, the return of C.P. to the 2 spot in the lineup briefly... now looks like it was his 'last chance' to prove he was worth keeping.
He didn't....He isn't....

OT: Baseball alive at old Tiger Stadium site
I have to admit, i didn't expect this to work, and i generally don't condone ratting somebody out, but i think Woo Woo inspires special circumstances.

He was a few rows above me and a group of maybe a hundred other University of Iowa alumni last night, and started right in with the wooing early and loud. Between innings, he was... how shall i say this... creeping around? We all know his reputation.

Within 10 minutes of making a complaint to the Cubs text line, he was gone. Might be worth trying in future instances.

Sorry for the crappy picture quality... just got a new phone (HTC EVO) and am not sure how to take screen caps yet.
