Farnsworth's Big Break / Joe Borowski Update

Farnsworth: After Troy Percival went into the DL yesterday, the Detroit Tigers named Kyle their official closer, followed by the recall of Craig Dingman, their AAA closer who will take up Kyle's former setup job. Farnsworth, who's had a fantastic year in setup with a 1.95 ERA and 46 strikeouts, will have his big break to show he can handle being a MLB closer, something he's never been capable of demonstrating. He already earned his first save as the official closer, his second of the year in a 4 - 1 win over Kansas City.

Joe Borowski: He made his Devil Rays debut tonight. He pitched an inning in eleven pitches, allowing one hit. No strikeouts or walks. He'll still wear number forty eight and as soon as I find his new official photograph, I'll post it.
