completely immature moment

from last night's game, that i just had to share.

if anyone recorded the game, go watch the part where they're interviewing bruce sutter during the bottom of the seventh. he talks about how great rick reuschel is, then there's a brief lull in the conversation...until somebody in the booth just rips one. i've never heard anyone fart that loud on tv.

and all i could think about was how maddux would be watching this game with the grand kids one day, and there, preserved for eternity is bruce sutter dropping some ass.

hey, i warned you it was immature.

Well, after midnight the TV rules are relaxed (amongst other things). Surprised no one called him on it.
If the Cubs could get out of an inning by taking less than 3 pitches, they would.

Are you sure it was Sutter?
The space is so small up there, it could have been anyone. Maybe Harry's ghost had a moment there.

But as far as Sutter goes, I dunno what I expected, but he sure doesn't look much like his playing days. I realize he's much older now, but jeez man, lay off the Jack Daniels or whatever it must. He seemed to be a really nice guy, but his face had that red nose and face look of someone who has put away a few in his time.

perhaps
i blamed sutter without proper evidence. but i'm assuming the other guys know how to work their "cough buttons" so to speak.

Ironic
Well...I do remember reading something about Maddux listing farting as one of his hobbies. He'll probably be proud such a grand "event" happened on the same day as his 3000th strike out. :)
