Just got back from the game

Boy! Ryan Dempster sure made the 9th inning interesting!!

I sat in the Hall of Fame club, right behind 1st base.  These seats are the middle level and you have a private concession stands and lounges.  After the 4th walk by Dempster, I went into the lounge and watched the rest of the 9th on one of the many plasma TV's they have in there.

Tonight was the first time I can ever remember a "Let's go Cubbies" chant break out in Philadelphia.  Guess a lot of Cubs fans stopped in Philadelphia on the way back from Cooperstown.

Carlos pitched a great game tonight keeping the ball down.  The wind was really blowing out to Right and the Phillies love to load the lineup with lefties for that short porch in right field.  The Cubs were putting on a show for batting practice.  I hope that this park doesn't ruin their swings for the next week or so.  More than a few teams come in here and try to swing for the fences and end up making pitchers like Padilla look very good.  Padilla had been ripped all year and this is the best he has pitched this season.

When you watch the next 2 games, take a look at the Bud Light sign in Left-Center.  That's only 340 feet away from home!?!?!?!  The Phillies had incorrectly marked the wrong distance on many places on the wall.  It's SHORTER than what it listed on the wall.  The local newspapers sent reporters out to measure the distances from home to the wall and found many of the measurements to be incorrect.

The first E-A-G-L-E-S.....EAGLES!! cheer was after Ramirez broke up the tie in the 8th.  The Philadelphia media has already buried the Phillies season and has moved on to the Eagles.  If the Phillies are doing poorly the next 2 games, listen for the Eagles cheer in the background on TV.

My heartbeat is back to normal after that 9th inning, here's hoping for 2 more wins here!!!!
