Did anyone else have a problem trying to get tickets this morning? I started calling and trying to access the Cubs site for tickets at 9:00 a.m. MST, only to either end up in the virtual waiting room, get kicked out DURING my transaction (this happened FIVE TIMES to me) or while dialing getting a constant busy signal or have the automated line hang up while in mid-spiel. I know demand is high, but this was ridiculous.
After over an hour, I finally got through and got the tickets I wanted, but not before finding out there was a three game maximum per order (I did not see that admonition anywhere) and also having the automated system put me on eternal hold while it confirmed my identification. While on this particular hold, I accessed the Internet and was able to complete my order as the demand had apparently receded. But all in all, my experience was a complete clusterf*ck. Sorry for the language, but my anger is compounded by the fact I was trying to do all this at work and had other things I really should have been doing. I finally got semi-decent seats to four games, two tickets each, in Sections 203 (2 games), 205 and 209, but what pisses me off is one time I was kicked out after selecting my tickets I had seats in 106 for two of the games. I know there's time limit in each part of the ordering process, but I hadn't exceeded it. A message would flash that they were having trouble accessing the Cubs' ticketing system and I would have to start over. What a stupid, frickin', stinking mess.
