WSCR has announced that he has been traded to the Baltimore Orioles. In return the Cubs landed two minor league players. They played at single A. Coming to the Cubs are Nate Spears and Carlos Perez.

I know nothing about these two and I'm sure we'll find more in the coming moments. Personally I wanted to see Patterson stick around but if he was to be traded, I'm glad it's for young prospects rather than middling major leaguers like Ryan Drese.
