Mr. Cub to Speak Tomorrow
Just wanted to alert everyone to an event I became aware of today:
http://www.chicagohistory.org/planavisit/upcomingevents/special-events
Full info is in the link, but Ernie Banks will be appearing (along with Minnie Minoso, a legend associated with that OTHER Chicago baseball club) at the Chicago History Museum tomorrow night. Tickets are relatively inexpensive ($12 I think), especially considering the caliber of the speakers.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, managing editor (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

"Again"?
That counted
I still consider him the first black manager whether it's "official" or not.
/Ugh, I so need to do my Int'l Finance case and stop commenting at SB sites :(

When did they change the name?
though I grew up half a mile from the Chicago Historical
Society. I know they just finished a big renovation but
did not know about the name change. I assume they
still have the minature rooms etc that I loved as a kid
( I also miss the classic movies on Sundays but they
stopped about 20 years ago) I guess I can live with
THIS name change but I am NEVER going into
Macy's on State St.
