The Padres released Scott Williamson and Mark Bellhorn today.
No, I'm not suggesting reacquiring either one of them.
It does show that Williamson apparently didn't have as much value as some of us thought.
Actually, the Padres really let go three former Cubs today -- that link says that they also let go Manny Alexander, who played for the Cubs in 1997, 1998 and 1999.
I can't believe Alexander was still around in the majors in 2006.
