I continue to come back to the sad fact that Dusty was given three "franchise" type arms for his rotation, and two of them have probably had their careers derailed and cut short by the way Baker used them.
Now granted, part of their problem looks like it was mechanics, so coach Larry should share some of the blame, but still, it is obvious that Baker didn't make use of much advice, if any, given by his "coaching staff".
I think they should build an outhouse behind the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, and put a Dusty Baker plaque on it, telling the sad story of a highly touted manager, and what can happen if he believes his own myth.
I hope Lou can do better. I hope, but then, I doubt it.
