and now Kei Igawa (pitcher) will be posted.

Wasn't that one of the names the Cubs might have been looking at over there?

Igawa, who is still three years away from becoming a free agent, will be able to leave Japan's Hanshin Tigers and talk to MLB teams under the posting system.

I don't know much about Igawa, but I remember someone (Al?) commenting that he might be a good alternative to Gyro.

Igawa...

... has less notoriety than Matsuzaka, but decent stats, is only a year older and is lefthanded. He might be a decent alternative, and would definitely come far cheaper.
