Ohio State vs. Michigan Non-Baseball Diary

Who's NOT watching this game?

So, whaddya got? Who do you have coming out victorious?  How many children's higher education funds have you gambled on this game?

Either way, here's to a game that will surely be more exciting than the lot of the 2006 World Series.

Go Rutgers!

Michigan! Wolverines eat Buckeyes for breakfast. No, really. I mean that literally.

Finally, a NBD!
Thanks, Sarah.  It feels normal around here again.

Oh, hey, the NBD is a great chance for me to mention that, for a project I'm working on in one of my grad classes, I need some survey results (note: this is not a scientific survey and the results will not be used as empirical data).  Basically, I'm trying to identify a specific area for more study, and the results of this survey could help me with that.

If you have a spare five minutes, please visit http://www.markjfarrell.com./user-survey.php.  Survey results are completely anonymous, and I don't ask for demographic data other than occupation.  Thanks!

College football is boring
It's Da Bears or bust, baby,

I like the Colts to
have a great regular season and then lose in the playoffs........again.

As they do every year
Hopefully, though, this year they lose to the Bears in the Super Bowl.

I don't agree. But I don't like football.
I like the meagre bit of "let's win one for the Gipper" innocence left to the college game.  Here in Arkansas, our "pro" team is the Razorbacks--our collective pride and reputation is tied up with that little town of Fayetteville.  The performance by a true freshman from Springdale, AR, can affect the outlook of an entire state.

Though I'm not a Hog fan and I don't understand this need to see everything through Razorback eyes, college football fulfills a need.

But I'm also jaded.  Let's go ahead and pay college players ...

No matter who I am rooting for
a Cincinnati team will screw it up.

Rutgers loses to freakin' UC.
