The people must be heard! The clock must go! Al's democratic efforts are valiant, but in this case our community risks a tyranny of the majority. Those with fast enough computers do not feel the effects of the slow-down the clock causes, and will vote to keep it, since it looks spiffy. Since MOST computers are fast enough to avoid the clock posing a problem, the majority of people vote this way. Unfortunately, that leaves the minority in a situation where their computers can't perform up to standards, simply because the "elite" want to keep their spiffy clock up on the board.
I am a fervent supporter of democracy, and in your last poll voted for to keep the clock. However, i have seen the errors of my past ways, and no longer want to place the burden of slow loading times on those with lesser processors... The clock has got to go! Vote "dump it!" Long live the revolution!
(I woulda ran a similar campaign for ketchup in the hot dog toppings poll, but i didn't want to risk being bombarded with... tomatoes.)
