SCOTTSDALE, Arizona -- The Cubs face Seattle today at Ho Ho Kam Park.

Glendon Rusch, attempting to throw well for what seems to be the first time this spring, goes for the Cubs.

The Mariners are a split-squad today. Their other half is playing in their home park tonight, so I wouldn't expect to see Ichiro or many of the other Seattle starters in Mesa today.

And get a look at who Seattle intends to pitch against the Cubs: Clint Nageotte, Francisco Cruceta, Scott Atchison, Luis Gonzalez and Dave Burba.

Of those five, Nageotte and Atchison have minimal major league experience and Burba is trying to hang on at age 39.

Derrek Lee is expected to play today for the first time since returning from the WBC.
