Strength of the NL Central

As many have commented here, the NL Central is looking pretty strong this year.  So, I thought I'd see how the three NL divisions have measured up against each other thus far (of course we're only a little over 2 weeks in, so this is a bit premature).    Here are the numbers ('combined' records are against the two other divisions only - excludes intradivision games):

WEST
West v. Central:  5-8  (.385)
West v. East:  10-9  (.526)
Combined:  15-17 (.469)

EAST
East v. West:  9-10  (.474)
East v. Central:  4-10  (.286)
Combined:  13-20  (.394)

CENTRAL
Central v. West:  8-5  (.615)
Central v. East:  10-4  (.714)
Combined:  18-9  (.667)

Well Dang
we're beating everybody.

Once, just once, I'd like to have a division full of skunks. . .

Skunks?
I would like that too cubbiejulie but think how it will feel when the Cubs are the leaders knowing we won in one of the best divisions. Skunks are fun to beat up on, but that is not what makes a great team. Beat the best, be the best!

Interestingly...
... yesterday was the Cubs' first outside-the-Central game; it was also the Astros' first divisional game.

Let's revisit these numbers at the end of April.

Woah
Lets not get ahead of ourselves yet. Aside from the StLouis series the cubs have played all bottom feeders. And a couple of the games against the cardinals could have went either way. Like AL said lets wait until the end of April or even May before we start saying that this club is the real deal or that this division is either for that fact.
