Felix Pie's Future

I was checking the box scores of the Iowa Cubs, and I noticed that Pie is hitting leadoff.  I'm not sure if this is just to get him as many at bats as possible, or if it is to see what he can do in that spot or some other reason.

I love Juan Pierre, and so far I have been very pleased with his performance, effort, and personality.  I don't like Jacque much, and I would rather see him traded and Felix Pie in right field with Pierre in center next year.  That's a little unlikely because we just signed Jacque and for 3 years.

However, I wouldn't mind seeing Juan Pierre replaced with Pie in center, but the problem is who knows if Pie can hit leadoff.  Pie doesn't necessarily have to come up and hit leadoff, but there isn't any one else to do it either.  I do not want to have somebody bad again in the leadoff spot after this year.

I'm not really sure in what direction the Cubs are going with Pie.  He can be a superstar and has a lot of talent, but what do they want him to do?

Thank goodness it's still very early, but I will continue to keep an eye on Pie.  I hope he does great this year along with the rest of the Cubs prospects.
