The CWS (Championship, Game 2)

As many of you into baseball are probably aware of, North Carolina tonight is one win away from winning their first-ever College World Series.  Game Two of the Championship Round will be tonight at 6pm CST on ESPN2.  North Carolina vs Oregon State.  The Championship is a best-of-three series, and UNC holds a 1-0 advantage after eighth-inning heroics last night.

Every team in College Baseball started out the year with one goal:  To make it to Omaha... Tonight, dreams could come true by winning the NCAA Baseball Championship...

64 teams made the tournament, Eight Teams made it to Omaha.  Now, only two remain.  North Carolina advanced over #4 National Seed Alabama by defeating them in the regionals, and Oregon State, the only team to return to Omaha from last year.  Along the way all eight national seeds were eliminated, including Clemson, Rice, Texas, Alabama, Cal State Fullerton, Nebraska, Georgia, and Georgia Tech.

As an Omaha native, I'm biased when I say the CWS is the best college sporting event all year.  However, I haven't found anyone to disagree.  Omaha and Johny Rosenblatt Stadium (Capacity 28,000+) provide the perfect host to the event, and it shows even more every single year.
