If you have a 1280x1024 or larger display, select the "large" photo size from the pulldown menu in the upper right corner of each photo page.

Unfortunately it rained June 19th, and when play resumed the light was horrible due to darkness.

If the photos look too bright or dark, I recommend tweaking your display's brightness and/or contrast per http://bbphotos.muegel.org/mlb/about.html.

Cheers,
-Mike

WOW!
Those are GREAT pictures, and you had terrific seats. What kind of camera? The resolution is extremely sharp.

Camera/etc.
Thanks all & Al. I have some info on the cameras at:

   http://bbphotos.muegel.org/mlb/about.html

Although I recently added a 300mm f4 lens and used it on this trip. But it focuses too slowly and I may sell it on eBay.

Lenses are more important than camera body in the end. The 400mm f5.6 Canon lens I use much of the time when daylight allows is amazingly sharp for the price.

Although we had good seats for both games and especially the 2nd one -- happened to hit a ticket release window a week before the game -- I tend to move around allot and jump into empty seats. This is especially easy for the first few innings. During the WBC earlier in the year I did not do this much and my photos paid the price: pretty boring.

But it is difficult being behind people and trying to get an action shot. So I'm always bummed out when I can't get easy shots of the first 1/2 of a double play or the like. These are easy pics but hard to do behind people/etc.

Ooops. I'm rambling. Cheers, Mike.

Re
Did you compare manufacturers (Nikon, Olympus) before deciding on Canon, or are you a Canon digital guy?

Amen to lenses make the picture.  Very nice shots.

Choice
At the time I bought my first body -- Sept 2003 -- the Canon 10D, Canon Digital Rebel 300, and Nikon D100 were pretty much it. I did do research but can't recall why I chose Canon over Nikon. Then over time I just got locked in to Canon.

The Nikon-Canon competitoon is great for everyone and keeps prices down and innovation up.

Re
The reason I asked is that, so far, I've been an Olympus guy because their digitals tend to do well in outdoor light, which is where I primarily shoot.

I'm on a 5050 right now, but am itching to move to a true DSLR so I can get back into interchangeable lenses.  Your pics well show the advantages.
