Today's non-baseball diary.
I hope I set this link up properly as I haven't used this style before.
Tonight I caught this story on Tedy Bruschi and a little boy named Andrew Geracoulis and the Make A Wish Foundation.
There aren't many things that actually bring a tear to my eye, but this story did. My sister had to have this done as a small child (that may have made it more personal).
The idea of this diary is to show that there are more to these professional athletes than just what we see on the field.
Please share anything that you have witnessed (or been a part of) in regards to any of the charities or event.
Hopefully this will help to ease some of the tensions here and bring everyone to realize the "good" things going on out there.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, managing editor (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

It's hard
My hat off to these athletes, these are what true heroes look like.

Seperate from this...
They don't posess the same skill level as top athletes but the effort that they put into it is unbelievable. They are great competitors. It is quite a feeling to be a part of that.
