MY trade SUGGESTIONS and stuff.

My fantasy post, it wasnt very realistic but I am going to make this one a little more realistic. I know there is another diary just like this one.

My thoughts on what we'll look like next year:

2b-If Atlanta were willing to trade Giles for a package of players that will have no worth to us (i.e. maybe a package like hill, neifi, williams and throw in murton) I would do it but I'm just an armchair g.m.) However, if Minn. decides to let go of Castillo, hendry might be interested like he was a few years ago.

cf- Hendry is almost forced into resigning pierre because of what price he payed to get him. Plus what else is out there? Edmonds at 37? NO. Give him a two year deal. That buys enough time for Pie to develop, if he ever does.

ss-You are stuck with ronny at short unless Hendry decides to go acquire one through trade or get Julio Lugo. He's overrated just like Furcal because of there being a weak free agent class.

lf-I am sorry for all of you C. Lee lovers, but I don't see him coming here though I'd like him to. A left handed run producer would be nice to put between d lee and a aram. And when has Hendry ever gone out and gotten a top hitter like Lee through free agency? Hendry likes to get the second level guys. That's where  Cliff Floyd maybe becomes a Cub but I am not liking him in a Cubby uni for the fact he is injury prone. There are already a number of players like that on our team.

1b-d. lee

3b-aramis but if he leaves, who knows. If I were Hendry I would confront Aramis and try and find out if he is going to opt out so then I could trade him for something.

rf-a platoon of jones/pagan

c-Barret will be there next year unless Hendry is given an offer that blows him away.

Note:Walker will be traded and so will murton.

Starting rotation:

Wood has worn out his welcome and I don't see him back in a Cubs uni unless he is in the pen. Once again Hendry doesn't go after the big name so no Zito, though I'd love to see it, and no Schmidt, too old. Realistically we'll probably see Mulder and another starter ( lilly or the guy from S.D. I can't think of.)  in the rotation to make it look like this:

4.another starter

Then pen will be shook up a little. I think you'll see williamson traded for a bag of balls. Then weurtz will be brought up next year with guzman as the long relief guy just incase prior and mulder break down.

Yet, we would still be relying on some hurt players even if we made these moves. Sound familar?
