Around SBN: The Worst Team Ever Projected?

Woulda, coulda, shoulda...

While enjoying (very MUCH...I'm originally from Central Illinois) this weekends sweep of the Cardinals, I thought, if the Cubs could have 10 games back, where could they be....:

I can find 10 games
Easy that would make the difference between this miserable mess and being "in contention" for a wild card spot.......(I may start a diary for...find 10 games....)...please chime in and make your own top 10 ......

1. O for San Diego.....The Cubs should have taken 2 in SD and Dempster blew his 1st save in Chicago a week later.
(3)

2.  The Cubs should have swept the Braves Memorial Day weekend...not the other way around.
(3)

3.  Houston, June 16...0 for 9 with RISP.
(1)

4.  Florida 5/23 ...Dempster's 2nd blown save.
(1)

5.  White Sox 7/1.  AJ's revenge...another blown save.
(1)

6.  Mets July 16 (or July 14)...Todd Walker's fielding meltdowns.
(1)

7.  There are several other 1 run losses out there to pick from....and have listed more than 10......

Woulda, coulda, shoulda.........

Within the last week...
... the Cubs could have swept the Mets in New York, too.

Getting swept by Washington
definitely sucked.  We shoulda/coulda won 2 of 3.

And...
... could have and should have swept them in Chicago in May.

We should change our name to the
Chicago Shouldas.

It goes both ways, really
For every heartbreaking loss, there's a game that you wonder how they managed to win.

True, its just that
in a season like this, the bad losses are the ones that stick out, and we have had alot of those.
Without a WS in 07 or 08--- AC 5 63 100 Wait, theres not enough room on that sign in right feild for triple digits. We Better Win Soon!!!

We could be....
undefeated if everything went our way.  Of course, part of baseball is battling to win the games you "should" win and actually winning them.  It's what makes the better teams better.  I'm sure you could find a direct link between what's being discussed on here and sucking.  The good teams win the games the Cubs "should" have won while the Cubs lost them.
