Cubs in Denver

I'll be joining Dusty Baker and his amazing Cubs on the road in Denver this weekend.  If there are any BCBers out there who are also going to at least one of the games and would like to connect, send me an email.

I also have an extra ticket to each of the three games in case there's any Rocky Mountain Cubs fan interested in going.

Technology and sobriety permitting, I'll file a report and pictures for each of the games.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, managing editor (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

Have fun
I'm going to try to make it to Houston for one of the upcoming games after you guys.  Had fun last time despite a 7-2 defeat.

How does the altitude affect your drunkenness up there?  Do you need more or less $8 beers to be able to put up with the level of play we have on the field?

Re
I try to save my money for the brewpubs in LoDo.  Not only does it go farther, they serve real beer.  What's required to put up with a Dusty Baker-led team isn't legal in this country.  And I'm coming in from Montana, where I'm only at ~3300 ft. when at home, although it's only minutes to get higher.

That was a real baserunning clinic yesterday.  Just par for course.  I wonder if that's what they're teaching the rich execs during their fantasy drills?

Last year, the Cubs dropped 2 out of 3 to the Rockies, and Korey was absolutely horrid at the plate as well as asleep in the outfield.  The Rockies played with enthusiasm and a noticeable desire to win.  And this year, where anyone could come out of the West, I'll bet they're going to be even more pumped up.

I know this isn't baseball related
But next summer after I graduate and finish my job I am planning a "Baseball and Brewery" tour of the Midwest and Northeast and you happened to mention the brewpubs in LoDo.  What are the better brewpubs in LoDo and any of the other places you have visited in the greater Midwest and Northeast?

Re
I'd make this a separate diary entry if you want to collect information.  I'll post some info from Denver, but you might want to define what you mean by "greater Midwest", since, generally, Denver would not be part of that.

Baseball in Denver??Sheeah..
When I lived in Denver I went to the 3 game series in '04. The second game we got really killer seats on the left field side, lower deck. Ended up getting a warning for "agitating the fans around us", and the security officer told us we could stay, but we couldn't go back to our seats. Well, I paid 40 bucks for my seat, so i went back(guess we had seats in the Rockies season ticket holders area). Sammy hit a homer in the 7th (if memory serves). I turned around to all the fans we'd been "agitating" and pulled on the front of my Cubs jersey. Got escorted out. Vowed never to return to the "baseball field". Sweep 'em Cubbies.

Unless...
... you were being rude or profane, that's absolutely wrong of "security" for doing that. I would have complained to a supervisor.

Well...
We were giving Matt Holliday a bit of a ribbing, but totally PG...It's a family atmosphere...

Does Soriano's defense at 2B really cost more runs than in LF? He makes a lot fewer errors in LF since misplays and mental mistakes aren't figured into the stats, but I have to imagine that his mistakes are more physical at 2B. Any thoughts? Is there a statistic on this?
