Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

Al and LF bleacher fans....

...you have an extraordinary opportunity Sunday that I hope you will seriously consider. Standing just a few feet in front of you will be Balco Barroid Junk Bonds, certainly the most despicable player in baseball.

While he is outside, enjoying life and making money, his friend and personal trainer, Greg Anderson, is once again in jail for refusing to testify before the grand jury investigating bonds.

While I like Al's suggestion of turning a back to bonds, it is simply not realistic to expect many to follow. So I propose  a more effective way to protest.

Please make a banner that reads:"Barroid, where's Greg Anderson today?" Then while he's standing in left field and at bat or on the bases, I'd chant. "Where's Greg?" Of course there are other things to chant, but I, like you, often take my son to the game.

This is a chance for you and the bleacher fans to let bonds know what we think of him, please don't miss the opportunity. Thanks.

This is an excellent idea...
... however, security has been very, very present in the bleachers today, and NOT allowing taunting of Bonds. I will write more about this in my game recap.

I will consider this, but you'll see in the game post why it might NOT be a good idea.

I'm amazed
So Bonds is offlimits to things that other players have to deal with every day? It seems Selig has annointed him Teflon Bonds while he pursues a record of a man who earned it by doing everything the right way. Disgusting.
Players win awards but teams win championships.

I'm not saying it's right...
... I'm only saying that's what they are doing. Yes, it's ridiculous. I think you all know what I think of Bonds here, I've made no secret of that.

RE: I'm not saying it's right...
My brother and I actually were thinking about starting a "Don't do drugs!" chant (we're in aisle 239, which is in right field under the upper deck) around the 7th inning.
Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?

I agree
but how can they justify the double standard? Perhaps Dusty threatened to leave if they picked on one of his pets?

LOL
If that were the case I think they'd just let him go.

Given the number of people they threw out of the bleachers today, I think they are worried about fights.

Who cares if you get thrown out?
you can come back tomorrow, do whatever you think is funny/witty and get a picture of it.

Getting tossed from the game..
...You say that as if it's a bad thing. Worse case scenario you and your son can enjoy one of the few nice days left before it get's cold and do something productive like go to Navy pier or the musuem or something.

I personally find it hard to believe that they can and would kick you out for yelling something like..."hey Barry, what's Greg up to these days?" or "hey Barry, have you set up a conjugal visit with Greg yet?".

Me? I dont think it's a bad thing. Al does.
I said he should get kicked out.

As I said....
... you want to get kicked out of Wrigley Field, buy a ticket, come in, do your thing and get kicked out. Your choice.

Tell you what.
You're so interested in doing that, do it yourself.

by Al Yellon on Sep 3, 2006 4:10 AM CDT up reply actions

That'd be tough
considering I refuse to go to games

Even...
if I was nice and gave you a ticket and stopped you from buying anything?
Cubbie Blue will always sPaRkLe in my eyes, but please stop losing. PLEASE!

Hey Al, how about this as an alternative...
...simply get the LF bleacher bums chanting, "Where's Greg? Where's Greg?" We all wish the rejuvenated Greg Maddux was back don't we?

Or better yet, "Set Greg free! Set Greg free!" You're just expressing joy that a favorite Cub was sent somewhere he was free to make the playoffs.

I seriously doubt any security guard could construe comments about Greg Maddux as offensive!

I wrote the longest post and best post I ever have. And it just dissapeared, I am so dissapointed right now. Sorry.

Now this...
... is something we might be able to do. I'll pass the word, especially to those who sit in the front rows where he could actually hear that sort of chant.

LOL! Clever, actually. Thanks.
