Garcia is 30 years old. He averages between 14 and 15 wins a year, and never misses a start. He is under contract for approximately $10 million in 2007, and the White Sox are almost certainly going to deal a starter (and probably Garcia) to make room for Brandon McCarthy in their rotation.
Want him? I do. Garcia was quoted today:"That's not my business, but if they want to trade me and put McCarthy in the rotation, whatever," Garcia said. "I can only do my best.
"Hey, business. If I've got to go somewhere, I'll go. It's tough because I love it here. I have a home here, my family loves it here, but whatever."
He loves Chicago? OK, we'll accomodate him, he can stay here.
What would it take to get Garcia? Be realistic.
