Petty Vandalism
Petty Vandalism is just that. It occurs when for no other reason than pure spite, a small minded person comes in and damages or destroys something just to damage or destroy it.
The problem is that if you know where the Vandal's live (1060west hint hint) it is possible to go over and defecate on their virtul lawn as well. Gaius is one, we are many. Wanna guess which blog can get completely burried. I suggest we give him one hour to stop and then. There is power in numbers.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, managing editor (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

Have we
Violence only begets violence. Potray my words in a coward's manner, I see it nothing more as me going and doing something else, like, oh I don't know, GOING THE FUCK OUTSIDE AND DOING SOMETHING ELSE OTHER THAN QUIBBLING ON THE GOD DAMN INTERNET LIKE A STAR TREK NERD.

Purpose
And thus, absent a shun button, the only choices are to either let you crap all over the blog until it is destroyed, or take a proverbial baseball bat to your proverbial knees by destroying something that you love. And as far as we can tell, the only things that you love are yourself and 1060 West. And since we don't know where you are (and as that would be taking a literal baseball bat to your literal knees (and that's a crime) the only choice is 1060 West.
You are on notice.

Yeah right...
Cubs fans will band together and change the organization from the inside.
Let me go get my drum and flute and we'll march on Wrigley at dawn.

Is there anything science can't do?
If you look around the world and look at all the people you know you'll see that the most ignorant people are also the ones who just aren't satisfied unless they have some sort of conflict going on in their lives, whether manufactured or real. And usually they are the root cause of the conflict.
The empty can rattles the most.

Polarity
As Al has stated many times, I'd rather understand that the Cubs need to improve and be optimistic that change can and will happen, than to understand the Cubs need to improve but be so negative about the club so as to take all joy out of watching the game.
If that makes me one of Al's minions, so be it.
Gaius is a narcissistic cry baby who took his ball and went home when he realized that not everyone here was going to bow down and kiss his hairy ass just because he has a large vocabulary and condescending tone.

agreed...
I love BCB. And there's an eclectic mix of many different opinions here, we're all not just a bunch of kool-aid swillers.
Reading 1060 you would think this page is nothing more than a compendium of opinions hawking the company line and that does not criticize the team when it is merited, when that is clearly not the case.
I still stand by my opinion that if the Cubs win the World Series under Jim Hendry and MacPhail and the Trib (unlikely, but hey, Cubs's fans are born dreamers), the only miserable people in Chicago will be White Sox fans, and those over at 1060 west.

Let's Rumble...
This will be fun. They'll be no Internet "tough guys"...we'll all meet at the old oak tree 15 minutes after the last bell. We, the Soc's, will wear red while 1060, the greasers, will wear black.
No weapons of any kind, other than condescending and abusive words plus our fists. We shall determine the True Champion.

re: gaius marius
----------------------------------------------
Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.
`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Life is just one crushing defeat after another until you just wish Flanders was dead."
