New Batting Practice Hat

I know someone

Star-divide

posted a diary about the new batting practice jerseys a while ago, but I found a photo of the new hats as well.  Here you go:

In case you're wondering, the color on the sides is a new look for ALL teams.  See the Tigers:

Reds:

Cards:

And even Yanks:

Those side colors are completely unncessary
Why can't the individual teams come up with their own product?  This standardization process is sickening.

Well...
I just wish I could say it isn't well deserved.  Personally, I think after 99 years of losing they ought to be forced to wear the following everyday until they win the damn thing:

Yeah...
... that's what I was thinking. Hats similar to (though not exactly identical to) those have already been sold. The side stripes look like a mistake.

Side Stripes
As just a hat to wear out in public the side stripes  don't work with this hat, but I'm digging the white C.  But I've never really understood the need (or marketing effect) for a seperate batting practice hat.

NFL Sideline hats are the most ridiculous
At least they're not those. They have two every year, and all teams are the same. And the players are forced to wear them on the sideline. So at least they aren't that.

get rid of the sidestripes and I'd buy one
but those sidestripes are ugly, though I guess it matches the sidestripes on the jerseys

Very Glad
I have the old BP hat.  It's nice, breathable and good-looking.  I know a lot of people don't like the bear coming out of the C, but it's OK with me for the batting practice cap.

Those things are ugly.  The silver C really looks bad.
