I don't particularly...
... care for sports talk radio at all.

I'm with Al
I just can't get into sports radio.  Maybe I've listened to the wrong guys, but everytime I have, I've been nearly overcome with the urge to go on a 12 state killing spree.

So, I just listen to music instead.

Love
Boers & Bernstein, Mully & Hanley are okay, hate everyone else. Oh, except Lawrence Holmes, who's my favorite Bears reporter.

They are not. They're the only guys I can stand to listen to on that channel.

I agree..
Those 2 have to be the most pompus guys on sports talk. Combine that with their making fun of Santo, and really can't stand their show. Even Sox fans like Dan McNeil are easier to listen to and they don't talk down to their callers.
Well, sometimes nothin is a real cool hand.

I like sports radio
but only when it's done well.  I know they aren't on The Score, but Mike and Mike are outstanding.  They are both smart, witty, and able to argue intelligent points.  Boers and Berstien are complete asses.  I can't believe anyone can stomach thier (utter lack of) wit, thier outlandish arguments, and (quite honestly) their wussiness.  It's like listening to an old married couple argue.  Mike North needs more journalistic talents.  Mike Murphy gets on his tangents, and, while he uses good logic to his arguments, doesn't seem to understand that sometimes people aren't always accurate when they say ceratin things.  He's too balck and white for my tastes.

Jay Hood is another guy who is pretty good.

Sometimes
I voted "no" to your poll, because I'm not a regular listener. But I think you should've added a third option: sometimes.

I don't listen to any sports radio show regularly, mainly because baseball is the only sport that interests me. If I happen to be doing something at home or in the car, I might flip to the Score to see whether they're discussing baseball. And if they are -- and particularly if it's Cubs-related -- I'll stick around. Otherwise, it's back to my Kenny G box set.

The Score
I've been a long time listener, however the station has really gone down hill from what it once was. Its made a comeback with the hiring of Mike Mulligan and Brian Hanley, but there is too much substandard talent on the station. I love Boers and Bernstein, mainly because they don't tolerate the knucklehead fan stuff.

Mike Murphy has not evolved with the times and his crap is so damn old. He's a one trick pony who should long ago been sent out to pasture. Mike North is a hateful ignoramus who simply is there to attract the least common denominator. It is sad to me how North has been allowed to really take control over the station and been able to act like a total dolt on a daily basis.

Actually
Murphy is the only one I do listen to on the score.  He may be a 1 trick pony, but I guess I like his trick.

I agree
Mike North is very negative and I get tired of that.  Mike Murphy is very nice to his callers and doesn't name call and act like his opinion is the end all to everything.  Boers and Bernstein are very rude and insult almost everybody that calls them unless that persons opinion agrees with theirs completely.
Mike Murphy does do the same stuff weekly with different little twists, but I look forward to hearing the stats from John Dewan and things like "What's Your Beef."
The dumbest people I know are those who know it all.

i think
boers and bernstein thrive on teh knucklehead fan stuff. they seem to only allow idiot callers, and do it so they can make fun of them and feel smart. i'm surprised people here like them, they are pompous asses with the sense of humor of 11 year old boys.
bernstein is knowledgeable about sports, but boers has pretty much resigned to being a bitter old sports guy, and is essentially a yes-man for bernstein, agrees with everything he says.

mike north is a scumbag. i would never listen to him.

i like mully and hanley. i don't like murph's show, but mostly its because i can't listen to the one-man spors talk. zack zabeman (?sp) and lawrence holmes are excellent beat reporters for the bears, much more knowledgeable and insightful that most beat reporters in this town.

the best sports radio is mike and mike, but i also like sports central on wgn. they show that you can have a great show by having interesting people that are knowledgeable about the topic, rather than the jay-marriotti, say anything that will get people talking brand of journalism.

Boers and Bernstein are assholes,
but that's their schtick.....and at least they stick it to moronic fans that call up and state the most ignorant nonsense ever.

I have called in many times to B & B and many times to Mike Murphy, just b/c Murph is brain dead. I have called him at least 8 times pointing out information that he had no clue about.

One time Murph was ignorantly blasting the CUBS farm system stating there was nothing of value. I called him up to inform him that Veal, Pawelek, Colvin, Patterson, Gallagher, etc. are all above average prospects. Before I started he mentions "yeah, I know they got Ryan Harvey"...I cut him off and said "technically Murph, he's not considered a highly regarded prospect" and then I went on....and he went silent, b/c he had no clue.....

It was hysterical!

I listen occasionally
and from what I've heard, listening to the Score to get a perspective on the Cubs is like listening to FOX News to get a perspective on the Democrats.

I've been to Scores,
but I don't listen to The Score.  Not sure, but I think there's a fundamental difference.
