A few Thursday notes, before tonight's game 2 -- which we all hope is at least more competitive than last night's game.
- Buck O'Neil's getting a statue in the Hall of Fame, and a Lifetime Achievement Award named after him. To which I say: Bravo. If only the Hall had done this in O'Neil's own lifetime.
- Joe Girardi may be in line for a manager's job -- but not where you think.
- Drug suspensions may be coming. For name players. Stay tuned.
- Are pro football players well-educated? We report. You decide.
Enjoy the game. Fortunately, there's no rain in tonight's forecast.
