Posting complete garbage.

Maybe I'm off base on this, and maybe it doesn't deserve a diary, but it's something that's really been bothering me. This is a site that I love to come to and read, because Al runs it very well, and also because most of the posters are intelligent, and add to the discussion. Lately, however, one person in particular has really taken from my enjoyment of the site, and I'm sure many other people feel the same way. This poster has been posting things that at best are complete hearsay, but most of the time are just patently false. It really takes away from other people's enjoyment of BCB, so please, stop posting things that are just made up. Women don't throw 90, and you don't have inside information about how the new field will look, and how drastically different it will be. Thanks in advance.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, managing editor (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

What a worthless slimeball.

If you don't like what people post IGNORE IT.

I don't particular like your posts so I think you should be banned.

how can anyone ignore it
when in every thread and diary your posts crop up, and almost nothing seems to make any sense. and it's not just me that feels this way, because I've seen other posters make comments about it as well.

by sackings108 on Oct 26, 2007 3:52 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Its simple
I realize you are a hate filled person who has the IQ of a doorknob.

But people's names are clearly posted under their diary titkes.

If you are too stupid or lazy to read down the list it's your fault.

You know
you really can be nasty for someone who accuses everyone else "bad people".  Doesn't the name calling feel a bit immature?

But you are a bad person so it escapes you.

I'm curious...
I've never had a disagreement with you.  I'll admit that I tend to ignore your posts, because i mostly don't find anything of interest in them.

Here's what I want to know:  I've seen you refer to people as either good or bad.  Who are you to judge them?  Frankly, I wouldn't think you know these people well enough to make that judgement.  Also, just because someone responds to you in a sarcastic or demeaning manner does not make them a bad person.  Nor does it give you the right to respond in kind.  Nor is it pretty to watch you continue to get fiercer and meaner in your responses.

Could you please give it a rest?

And for your information
And for your information I have seen pictures of the new field.

And I was posting what someone else told me and asking what other people thought.

I also realize you are too stupid
I also realize you are too stupid but I'll tell you:

If you don't like someone's diaries you can see who posted them below the topic.

If you had any brains you'd ignore them.

In another diary, you called a poster
a useless "POS" because he disagreed with you. other s have made complaints about your posts as well. I'm not going to get into some pissing contest with you, I'm simply voicing my opinion on how useless your posts are. IIRC, you also claimed you "heard" mark prior's parents house was caught in the wildfires. Really? Because nobody else has heard this. The things you type are ridiculous, but this is the last I'll say on the subject. If you want to go ahead and take away from every other members enjoyment of this site, then keep on doing it.

Not true
As the other poster in question, I'd like to point out that I simply asked why you post here.  I admit, I should have explained why I was asking.  I did so in a follow-up post that you have ignored so far.  Here's what I wrote:

It was a serious question.  You have been banned by Al once when you were Kerry's Other Wife.  You signed up under a new name.  You are constantly criticized by a broad section of the community - disliking  your posts brings together people who typically disagree about everything.

I'm sure you see all of this, yet you continue to post here.  I'm only wondering why.

it seems like this is something that the two of you can work out off the board. May I suggest exchanging email addresses?

sorry, i just don't like seeing people fighting back and forth on the site, and much like sackings I read it all.

Sackings is clearly not a good person.

I was wrong to even give this piece of trash the time of day.

by cubstoseriesby100 on Oct 26, 2007 4:07 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Don't worry,
I'm done posting on the topic. I just wanted to have my opinion heard, and I was hoping Al would take notice of all the members of this board, including myself, who would like Kerrysotherwife, or cubstoseriesby100, of whatever name she goes by now, to stop posting. Either way, thats enough of that, and I'll get back to posting on Cub-related subjects.

It would be nice
How about some Cubs related posts then?  Never seen any.

AT LEAST WHAT I POST LIKE IT OR NOT IS ABOUT CUBS OR BASEBALL.

Oh I forgot I posted a diary about being concerned about a fellow regular and a few about doing something for Al.

Of course you would never think about doing something like that.

Here's a tip.
Click on my username. Then click on comments. You'll then be able to see all the Cub-related things I've posted. And I've actually been posting for a while, I didn't just sign up a month ago and decide to flood the board with whatever stupid things popped into my head, like you've done. Please go away. You're not liked here by any other poster. The only one who has come to your defense just wanted us to stop arguing. And I'm going to take his advice, and be done arguing with you, because obviously you just don't get the fact that you're unwanted here. Have fun posting 10 different responses to this, and I'll enjoy reading them.

needs to be posted?  If you have a problem with a certain person, can't you take it up with them?

Peace y'all!
Someone hit the nail on the head above.  I feel like I am in 5th grade and we are picking on the unpopular kid.  Granted, this unpopular kid has done quite a bit to put off many of us but still, seems like a waste of breath.

In Sackings defense however, I would tend to agree that much of the stuff posted by this person has so little substance...at times it can be painful.  Rather then bash you though, I would simply suggest if you plan to remain here, why not try to make the posts something that will grab attention or has some validity to it?  That is honestly, a suggestion not a jab.

Sure would love to hear soon that the Cubbies picked up some power for the lineup!

I think the main thing
We're all bored and anxious for something to happen with the Cubs to talk about.

And the thing is especially if the ownership doesn't change before next season the offseason is probably going to be pretty boring.  A new rightfielder and a starting pitcher and maybe a shortstop but nothing like last year.

I saw a Cubs site that had a weekly off topic thing during the offseason that went over pretty well.

How old are we?
I know i don't make the most intelligent posts---I try to be thought provoking but it doesn't always work.  However, if I ever saw a diary dedicated towards not liking my posts I'd be pissed and I think it's unfair that this was created.  Granted Cubstoseriesby100 and don't be mad---read what you write you know you could have written something a little nicer...

Al: You know there will always be drama--- I'm a little surprised you let this diary stay on here but I'm amused by it.  Perhaps you can create an on-going complaint forum where all people do is bitch and complain of other members. You never have to look at it and if someone posts something like this somewhere else all you need to do is delete the post.

I do not recall who posted the ....
...diray about the possibility of women playing MLB, but it didn't offend me.  Even if the person's post was insincere, there was some fun and interesting discussion of it.  There was a former whitesox owner who apparently allowed a man how was very short to bat in MLB games.  I do not know the hisotry of that circumstance but maybe that player was gifted and deserved the chance or maybe the owner wanted to use the circumstance to create publicity for his team?  I don't know the answer, but I do know that many owners will look the other way with respect to the integirty of the game itself so long as people come through and spend cash.  So regardless of the motives for the post with respect to a female player, I thought the topic was worth comment.

There were some posters here who annoyed the hell out of me with their topics at first but now I see them as real solid contributors and I always read their posts.  There was also a guy here who annoyed everyone and I think he has been banned.  I won't mention his name but I actually thought he had numerous worthwhile posts and helped create lively discussion.  This poster's offensive style was okay with me but I udnerstand that he may have crossed the line for the community at large and had to go--so be it.

Al has a tough job moderating this site and it's an enjoyable place for us, so don't make it any tougher by starting ban campaigns.

I know you...
... probably weren't talking about him (I think you meant the midget Eddie Gaedel), but another short guy -- five-foot-three Harry Chappas, who played for Bill Veeck's White Sox and actually had some modest baseball talent (lifetime BA .245 in 184 AB over three seasons), turned 50 years old yesterday.

Hardly a midget
My all time favorite baseball short guy is Fred Patek the great
Royals SS of the 70s. He was listed at 5 foot five inches but
he may well only  have been 5" 4 . He was an extradinary fielder
and a decent hitter for a SS. Probably the reason that I like short
infielders to this day ( Augie, Theriot, Fontenot but not Eckstein)
For those old enough to remember Patek was fun to watch and
a great example of why baseball was not a sport which "regular"
guys are excluded from at the professional level.

Patek
An image of him I remember: In 1978, after the Royals lost the ALCS to the Yankees for the third-straight year, Patek sat in the Royals dugout after the game for about 20 minutes, head buried in his hands. His hatred of losing was so obvious.
