Thursday AM Virtual Waiting Room Tips and Tricks

Were any lessons gleaned from last time?  Here is what I learned ... feel free to share your experiences and wisdom in the comments.

It seems that they have done a good job of stopping you from loading multiple "waiting rooms" using the same browser.

What I was able to do, however, was to open up an individual waiting room in Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, my RSS reader, etc ...

So, that's my tip.  I suppose it will increase our individually slim chances by a factor of however many browsers you wish to install on your computer.  Gotta be worth something.

Your turn ... got any tips or tricks to share?

Really?
My friend opened 9 virtual waiting rooms with no apparent problem. I would have done the same, but I mistakenly thought you couldn't do that.

Regardless, my tunnel project that connects my Wicker Park apartment to a hidden spot under the bleachers is nearly complete.

Anyone know
what happens if you buy tickets to the NLCS and the game doesn't happen?  Do they automatically refund your credit card, or are you just out the money?

Excellent question!
Anyone got answers?

I have two computers going.....40 VWR windows on each.....Hope I get lucky!

BTW since Ctrl-N doesn't work....Hit Alt to bring up the file/edit/view menu, then hit 'F', then 'N'.  Presto another window opens......

Good Luck Everyone.

It'll come on and say the game is sold out
or that there are only tix available for a certain game, standing room only.

Browsers
I had about 80 total.  40 on my laptop, and 40 on my desktop.  I did the same thing for the NLDS and got one single ticket for Sundays game.  I lucked out huge today...my brother got 4 tickets to game 2 as well.....

I am up to 80 as well ...
no joy.

Congrats to you, however.

Fact is, if I want to get in the park, it's just gonna have to cost me a bit more.  Just hope we get there.  Good enough for me.

They're selling tickets...
for the first 3 games. If the Cubs play the Rockies and they go 7, there will be a 4th game,

I thought it was 3 in a 2-3-2 format.
I didn't think they could get home field advantage because it goes by W/L record.

This has been discussed before...
... if the wild-card advances to the NLCS, they cannot have home field.

Thus if the Cubs wound up playing the Rockies, the Cubs would have home field -- just as they did against the wild-card Marlins in 2003.
