Honoring Ted Abernathy

This week Royals Review paid tribute to former Cub Ted Abernathy, recognizing him as the 81st greatest Royal in team history:

Abernathy has also been featured on the BCB list, coming in at 88th.

His numbers as a Cub and a Royal are fairly similar, which makes it somewhat surprising that he made it into the top 80 Cubs. Some really bad, limited, lame, terrible players have made the top 100 Royals, but when the franchise is less than 50 years old, and has been terrible for the last decade+, you kinda expect that.

Anyway, all hail Ted. A great Royal and a great Cub!
