Horrible...

And...
... we do talk about off-topic things on occasion.

There is the Yellon Connection...
Al works there.

It was surreal...
... to come to work this morning. There were still police cars outside, and a real bad smell (like the aftermath of burning) inside the building.

However, things are boarded up, and everything works. The show will go on as usual and if you are up early to watch, you'll see more information.

So weird
I was right there about 50 minutes before that happened! I'm glad I wasn't around when it happened and that no one was injured.

Thumbs up - Ravi !!!
I was watching the broadcast and he was as cool as a cucumber.  I give him alot of credit for staying calm and informing us as to what happened.  This was a real first.  I'm suprised they didn't move the broadcast to another room.

The problem is...
... there really ISN'T another room to move to on short notice like that.

Here's a compilation, which has the gocubs40's clips plus more.

I'm happy nobody was hurt and I'll be curious to learn what happened...why someone crashed into the studio.

Crash
This has to be one of the most Tivo'd 2 am news rebroadcasts in ABC-7 Chicago's history.

The anchor really did a great job handling himself.

Whats funny
....well not funny but when I flew out of Ohare on Friday I saw that same newsman doing the classis "traffic at Ohare" speech.  Whats funny about all those news trucks being at the airport is that their big GIANT trucks are a big part of the traffic annoyance.

Anyways.......I do have a little after xmas blues but thats natural.  I had a cop 'threaten' to pull me over on the way back from my folks house tonight.  Well if it made him feel a little better when he has to work on XMAS sobeit.

How does....
.... a cop "threaten" to pull you over?

by BeerCub on Dec 26, 2007 9:32 AM CST up reply actions

Well
...what I meant was he pulled behind me, then he pulled alongside of me, then I had to get over because the highway was forking, then he rushed to get behind me again, then he pulled on the otherside of me, then I finally looked at him and he stared me down with a big IM A DICK look, then he pulled a little more forward and continued to stare at me, this took all my might not to laugh, and then he gunned it and was gone.
