I'll bet it was Al
It's the off season. What else does he have to do? He can't get into Wrigley right now.

I have an idea
I have a funny idea for a Cubs cartoon that when I tell people about it they think it's funny.

Problem is I can't draw worth a diddly.

If I submitted it to the cartoonist could he give me feedback on whether or not he could or wants to do it with credit for both of us?

We are all waiting for that glorious October night when we finally win it all. Until then we will continue to cheer, never do the wave and hope.

My idea
My idea if someone can draw wants to draw it.

It's kind of far sidey.

You'd see Carlos Zambrano up in bed a terrified look on his face and a spectre of some sort floating in the air.

The caption would read "Late at night those leadoff walks really do haunt Carlos Zambrano"

haven't drawn in years .. but ..
THAT idear is inspirational, boss ..

I used to doodle and cartoon regularly to create visuals for my Sunday School kindergarten class many yarrons ago .. so long ago that my kids in my classes are now in college. Astonishing ..

But I am gonna try that one. Think I got the oeuvre dancing in my head now. Be right back atcha ..

Well, Next Year is here .. and Jack's century's gotta end some time .. GO CUBBIES!

Go Cubs GO
Did not want to waist space with another topic started but yesterday my youngest daughter was married and the Bride and Groom were introduced as they came in the reception with the Go Cubs Go song. It was a little nontraditional but it was a big hit with the crowed who about 2/3 of the way through were led in Take Me Out to the Ball Game by Harry Carry.

My wedding
Our first dance was to te full version of Take Me Out to The Ballgame as sung by Carly Simon in the Baseball PBS miniseries CD.  The Story of Katie Casey.

Our first get everyone on the floor to dance was to "Go Cubs Go"

One touch that everyone in a certain age group loved was we did the "Charlie Brown dance" from A Charlie Brown Christmas.

We are all waiting for that glorious October night when we finally win it all. Until then we will continue to cheer, never do the wave and hope.

Another note
We were married on June 20, 1998.  That night Kerry and Sammy both homered and the Cubs won.

This year we're celebrating our 10th anniverary and my 40th birthday and planning a party at Wrigley.

We are all waiting for that glorious October night when we finally win it all. Until then we will continue to cheer, never do the wave and hope.
