Tuesday Evening Rumor Mill - Updated 9:10

To be quite frank, I was starting to dread going into this morning's rumor mill thread -- it was up to 150 posts, and a bear to deal with. And I think I can put together enough to be worth a diary.

There's some stuff of interest on ESPN's blog. Jayson Stark says the Cubs are one of the teams in on Hideki Kuroda, the Japanese starter we lost track of after the start of the offseason. And Buster Olney adds the Rangers to the list of teams interested in Mark Prior.

Meanwhile, the Cubs are apparently in on Bedard, according to multiple sources. Apparently the Dodgers are ahead of us, though, but the Orioles are likely to take their time on this one.

The Padres are still negotiating with Cameron, and don't have the money for him and Fukudome.

I'll try and keep updating this for a while.

Update [2007-12-4 22:27:29 by cwyers]: ESPN's Jerry Crasnick is a killjoy. He says the Reds are unlikely to deal Hamilton inside the division. Okay, that doesn't suprise me. He also mentions the Cubs having some interest in Chone Figgins, but says sources in the Lanaheim camp say they could ask for Aramis Ramirez in exchange. I had to read that twice.
