Padres offer Fukudome
Per Roto world:
http://rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=MLB&id=157
The Fathers have offered Mr. Fukudome A three year deal believed to be about 8 million a year. Fukudome is insisting on a three year deal, no more, no less.
I know many people are reporting that the Cubs will most likely land him, But I'm still nervous someone will snatch him from us.
Just reporting news. If it was been posted already let me no and ill delete it

Today's SD Union Trib says....
And....
I'm going to assume that means that the sleepy media and fans won't be too upset if Fukudome....tanks. He can fly under the radar in this burg.
If you'd like this entire story, more of the 'insight' of a newspaper that is getting worse each and every day, with their 'new' 4-page sports section, a 1-page "Business" section, where yesterday they buried that more people are being laid off by the Copley Press ("The Ring Of Truth," the company's motto) -- (The Pennysaver is better, because at least it's free) -- have at it.
Also, buried at the end of this article -- The Padres are about to sign Glendon Rusch.
Is this a sorry franchise -- or what? They want to corner the market on injured pitchers. Randy Wolf, maybe Mark Prior, possibly Matt Clement. (I still haven't figured out what they did with Shawn Estes.) Boy, were these locals sold a bill of goods when they were told that "Petco Park" will be able to put this franchise in the upper tier of teams, payroll-wise.
