OK, we're all excited about the possibilities of the Cubs signing Kosuke Fukudome, or making deals involving Mark Prior, or acquiring pitching, or...
But I'd like to ask everyone a favor. Instead of racing to your keyboard every time you find an internet rumor (or fact) or hear something on sports talk radio... please search through BCB's recent posts, comments and diaries to see if your rumor or fact has already been posted.
What I don't want is for 15 different diaries on the Fukudome signing. Or Andruw Jones. Or something else we've discussed a week or two ago in detail -- you can set the number of diaries that appear to whatever you want (default is 10); that way you can see the most recent discussions.
What I also don't want is something that has disturbingly been starting to appear -- people criticizing each other for "monitoring", or things of that nature. This is my site and I have made a conscious decision to, at this time, not have an "official" assistant. However, I think if you're a regular here, you know who the more regular posters are. If someone like that asks politely for you to look at the other posts that have already been made about your topic, the polite thing to do is to thank them and move on -- not bitch about it.
So, bottom line:
- THINK before you post.
- LOOK around the site before you post; your diary idea might be better served as a comment in an existing thread.
