Early Pick of Divisions

Tonight I happened to hear a radio show titled "Umps Eye View" out of Des Moines. The hosts are Tim McCleland and Eric Cooper, both live in Des Moines area and are major league umpires. McClelland was voted best umpire a few years back and has been in the league many years. Their prediction I like. Dodgers in the West, Cubs in Central and Mets out East. They felt the Cubs have the second best position players in the NL. Finishing behind the Cubs would be Houston and Milwaukee with St. Louis in 4th.

Before we start any spring training games make your best guess, then maybe we could try this again right before the season, after those pesky spring training injuries crop up.

Here's mine:
WEST: Dodgers, Padres, Giants, D'Backs, Rockies.
EAST: Mets, Phillies, Braves, Marlins, Nationals.
CENTRAL: CUBS, Astros, Cardinals, Brewers (very close race I think), Reds and Pirates.

After doing this I think the Central will be the most competitive division and could go many directions. That may hurt the chances of a wild card coming from the central. Let's see your predictions!
