Problem With Tickets

I have a very big problem with the Cubs tickets this  season. I was just looking over the schedule to see what tickets I want, and I noticed that the majority of the games are "Prime Dates". There are only 7 value dates, 28 regular dates, and a whopping 46 prime dates. Bleachers for value dates are $17 for value dates and $42 for primed dates. This is completely rediculous for a team who had the worst record in the national league. Even the wording makes no sense. "Regular" means the norm, and the norm should definitly be the majority of the games, not prime. Prime dates should only be certain night games. Paying $42 to sit on a bench is rediculous for a day game in August. Obviously this will not stop me from buying tickets, but it is getting rediculous.

whether you like it or not...
Wrigley field is a tourist destination.  People come to Chicago in the summer and go catch a Cubs game.  In my opinion, it's the best place to catch a game if you tune out most of the people around you.  Most of the people there can't name anyone beyond the top 4 batters.  People talk business, girls talk on their cell phones about what Suzy wore yesterday, people wave at the camera while on the phone.  Unfortunately this team has been run as a business to maximize profit not potential.  They know every seat can be sold out whether they win or lose.  I love the game and Wrigley, but I will always hate the business for making something so sweet leave a bitter taste.

The Market sets the price
Look at how much the scalpers get for bleacher seats. The bleachers are the most popular ticket at Wrigley now. They will probably sell every $42 ticket available. The price is too high for the average family to be able to go to the game very often, but they have no problem selling these tickets.

You don't have to sit in the bleachers
I have Terrace Reserve Season seats. They are $32 for
Prime dates ( infield). Also why not take a day off and GO
to a value date?
I love the ballpark. I love the city. I love the fans. Aside from how we've played this year, there's nothing not to like about Chicago." Greg Maddux 7/29/06

well
I did go to almost every value game last year, but this year I am attending NIU(Northern Illinois University), and unfortunately, every value game is unreachable for me :(

word
Wrigley has pretty much the best upper deck I've seen...at least it's the closest to the field of any park I've been in. This is of course at the expense of those sitting anywhere past about row 10 of the 200 level.

the only bad seats in the house
are limited view.  otherwise, the top corner of the upperdeck is still a great seat.
