But, based on past years' experience, I can understand why some people might want to.
The Cubs today released the official scoop on single-game ticket sales.
Highlights:
- The VWR's open at 9:30 am CT on Feb. 23; sales begin 30 minutes later.
- If you get lucky enough to have a good wristband number, sales at the ballpark begin at 8 am CT, two hours before online/phone sales. In past years, this has NOT cut off too many games from sale online, as the box office people can only work so fast.
Wristbands will be available at Wrigley Field from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. CT on Feb. 21, and from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. CT on Feb. 22. There is a limit of one wristband per person. You will be required to show two forms of identification, one of which needs to be a government-issued photo ID. The wristbands will only be used at Wrigley Field on Feb. 23.
Check the cubs.com link for full info. There will be much more on all of this here at BCB as Feb. 23 gets closer.
