St. Louis Cops used seized WS Ticks

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/baseball/mlb/03/19/officers.tickets.ap/index.html?eref=si_mlb

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Some St. Louis police officers are being investigated internally over allegations that they used World Series tickets seized from scalpers, a police spokesman confirmed Monday.

I would think if the cubs were in the world series, cubs would be seizing legit tickets to see the games ;)

Any Argument, sufficiently argued in an intelligent manner, is correct.

Scalpers usually have legit tickets
It's just illegal to sell them at the stadium for anything about face value.

It is illegal..
..for them to sell them within so many feet of the ballpark period.  We were trying to sell two tickets for less than face value a few years ago and were warned by police that it is illegal to sell tickets for any price, above face value or not.
Here's to a new year!!

There's a scalper who is a cop
He works in one of the shops between the Addison stop and the stadium.  He's off duty (I hope, but he's definitely not in uniform) and when he sees someone selling tickets, even if for less than face, he whips out his badge and threatens arrest.  Then he goes back to scalping.

Back in the early 90's
we had a couple of extra tickets that we wanted to sell at Wrigley. My friend took off to sell them, he was asking less than face. The cops got him in a car and scared him, then bought the tickets from him for something around what he was asking for them. We thought he was going to jail and he came back with cash....

Does Soriano's defense at 2B really cost more runs than in LF? He makes a lot fewer errors in LF since misplays and mental mistakes aren't figured into the stats, but I have to imagine that his mistakes are more physical at 2B. Any thoughts? Is there a statistic on this?
