BCB Day

Happy Friday everyone!

BCB Day is still planned for June 16 for the game against the San Diego Padres at 12:05.

Many people tried to get tickets and failed, while others succeeded and have tickets to help out others.

Please post again if you want to come/are coming.  Tell us if you need tickets for that day, and if some of you have any extras for other BCBers please say so. That way we can get a better idea of how many tickets we need to find.

You should all try to make it if you can. Like I said before, people in real life are way better than online.  Plus, games are always fun anyway.

Any questions, concerns, and thoughts about BCB day can be posted here.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, managing editor (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

Since you stole my thunder..
you litlle sneak I'm gona post first.;)

Warring factions aside, I think this would be fun for everybody. Perhaps we can sooth old wounds with a Old Style or Mai Tai salve.

My wife and I definitely want to go. I was unable to get tix online, however. A libation of your choice to whoever sells me a ticket.

Spoke to me mum today

She just retired and wants to get adventerous I guess. No pressure but if there is one for her that would be appreciated. Thx.

but i couldnt get any for that game.. i would love to go...

by Kchance on Mar 2, 2007 11:18 AM CST reply actions

I have 4
But honestly I want to go and the only trades I would make would have to be for Sox tix, or Opening Day in Cinncinati if someone has those by chance.

If you want to come...
you should definitely come.  We're just asking people if they have extras for others. Don't give up the tickets you're going to use.

Those have not gone on sale yet.
After March 10th, you might want to post again. Or eBay is always a good place to start as well.

I have 6
I  MAY need one. I am only coming if I am sure Maddux
is not pitching. I don't know if I want to be the one
who decides who gets the other 5. Lets see how it plays
out but they are in the pot.

PS Thanks to Jazzman56 who is much better than me
for getting these and BOO to Mom who COULD have gotten
6 more if she had gone when her nice low number was really
up

Count me in
If there are any spare tickets!  I'm always up for a game in the bleachers, and it would be great to put faces to all these (screen)names.

One free Old-Style to anyone who is kind enough to sell me a ticket.  I've also got some tickets coming my way for a trade if necessary.  Particularly a pair for a night game vs SF in July...

Man that's cold. See what being a Cubs fan does to you.;)

Well, Jess, as you and I have conducted business before I assume that you mean you have 3 tix available and not 5, right?

Ummm, right?

Thanks for all who responded.
Sparkles is going to help me coordinate BCB day. I've got some tickets that I got myself; if anyone else got through, please let me know so we can get an accurate count of both people who have, and people who need.

I have
4 to spare to anyone who is interested. A trade for opening day would be nice, but I realize that's unlikely. I'll be happy to be reimbursed for face + convenience fees that were charged by Tickets.com.

by giddyup on Mar 2, 2007 4:37 PM CST up reply actions

Thanks.
Hang on to them for now -- we'll facilitate exchanges between those who have them and those who need them.

No one will lose any money -- anyone who has paid the fees will get reimbursed for them; whoever buys them from you will have to pay that price, just as they would if they had bought the tickets themselves online on Feb. 23.

I spent hours in the VWR
And when I finally got through the game was sold out.  What I won't do for my friends here.  We have season tickets and I endured the VWR to help out :).

Please put me down for 1.

Any plans for before or after the game?

Maybe. We can discuss this later, or at the game.

Sparkles, count me in
I will need a ticket, though.

By the way, I'm kinda disappointed by the weather in Arizona.  It's not nearly as warm as I would have hoped...  It's only been in the mid-high 60s lately.  I must admit, though, that it's nice to be able to walk around without a coat and in sandals.  Although i'm not taking in any games, it's nice to see so many baseball fans around.  It makes the season seem a lot closer than back home.

Forecast
75 degrees tomorrow and 80 on Monday and Tuesday.  You gotta love the 6% humidity.

I'm loving this!
Unfortunately, I'm leaving on Monday, but I'll take what I can get.  I'm hoping I can get back in a couple of months.  Funny thing is, the person I'm visiting hates warm weather.  She'd prefer to be back home in the snow.  Crazy girl!!!

6% humidity.
That's about the lowest I've ever seen. I remember seeing 9% one year when I was there, but six -- amazing.

Can't wait to be there -- ten more days.

Humidity
It's 5% right now. (11:45 AM local time) It is common for us to have these type of humidity readings in late April and May when it is a little warmer, but it's unusual to see it in early March.

The dew point is -6 degrees!  That is rather amazing.

by jazzman56 on Mar 4, 2007 12:48 PM CST up reply actions

Wow, that is amazing.
Hey, hang on to this weather for another ten days, will you? It's not bad in Chicago today -- sunny and 35 -- but that's hardly the weather I'm looking forward to being in soon!
