Cards Bullpen Woes: Tommy John for Kinney

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/baseball/mlb/specials/spring_training/2007/03/09/cardinals.kin ney.ap/index.html?eref=si_mlb

St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Josh Kinney needs elbow ligament-replacement surgery and will likely miss the entire season.

Kinney was a top candidate for setup relief pitcher this year. He first tore the ulnar collateral ligament in his pitching forearm one year ago.

Sorry, but
Kinney was the one Card I could actually root for, only because we went to the same college, just a few years apart. One of two from there who played in the majors last year. It's not like that school is major baseball powerhouse either.

I don't really hate him...
..he seems like a good guy and one of the only Cardinals I like. Now Jim Edmonds is another story...god I hate that guy!

Ouch...
Kinney was one of the best relievers that STL has.
Mark William Prior is BACK! This was one Cactus League start and at least he's pitching!

One thing
that attracted me about being a Cubs fan, is that the crowd in Wrigley will applaud stellar play, because it is stellar play.

Even from the opposing team. It is one of the things that makes me proud to be a Cubs fan. :)
