A-Rod to Cubs?

I was just listening to WGN, and they had a sports update which said the Cubs are close to dealing Zambrano and Izturis to the Yankees for A-Rod and Philip Hughes.

Apparently talks broke off on contract negotiations late last night, and Cashman swooped in with an offer.

Who knows who the opening day starter will be--Lily I guess. They might have a rough pitching staff, but they sure will score some runs.

I hate you.
All of you!

Yes, well-played indeed!!!!

Although it didn't quite feel like time for baseball until I saw a "A-Rod to the Cubs" diary.  Sigh....

I think a better April fools day joke would be...
...Mark Prior went 5 innings and only allowed 2 runs.

And then.....
...Wood came in for four shut-out innings, allowed three hits, struck out six, walked one, and got the save.

99 Years ...
And to think, my grandmother went through 92 of them; I've been through forty-something of them ... it is soooo past time!  Funny cartoon!

Wow,
lol.  I believed it for every second too.  It seemed possible.  Deal talks break down.  Cubs know Z wouldnt come back next year...  Yankees have been rumored to be tring to move A-Rod... Someone was right on top of the case though.

I don't fall for that stuff
Years ago ( well 84 to be exact) my then boyfriend called me in
LA where I was in school  to tell me the Cubs had traded Sandberg to the Sox for Harold Bains. If it had been ANYONE other than Sandberg I would actually have believed it.

Here is a fun link for the day

Ummm...wait...
Do you mean this happened 84 years ago?  Cause I didn't think either you or Sandberg was that old.

:)

That article was interesting...
until the part about how Juan Pierre would be the NL MVP.....which pretty much tosses out any credibility the author may have had.
Go Cubs!
