Need Advice On Parking

Going to the game today and will be coming from the western burbs.  I see that the DeVry lot is closed for weekday games.  Where can I park without being raked over the coals for $40.00?

I don't mind paking in a lot somewhere and being shuttled to Wrigley, but I can't seem to find a place that does that besides Devry...

Leave early.
If you do that, you can park on the street. Today's likely to be one of the smaller crowds of the year.

If you are going to be in the bleachers, stop by and say hi.

If I was in the bleachers
I would certainly stop by and say hi.  I'll be in the 2nd row between the Cubs dugout and the bullpen, pretty much btween 3rd base and left field.

I took a half day today, wish I could leave really early and park, watch BP and that sort of thing, but I'll probably get there at around 12:45 or so...

I wish there was an easy place to find parking...

Looks like a nice day out, anyway.
There ARE some small private lots in the area that I think won't charge you more than $20 or so -- the $40 price you fear was around yesterday, but that's an Opening Day thing, I think.

I usually get as close to Wrigley and then
park in someone's garage for $25.  Easy in and easy out.

Last year I parked in the Taco Bell.
..parking lot right across from Wrigley for $25 and there was no time limit on how long you took to get out of there, which is nice if you want to stay for a few cold ones afterwards.
Here's to a new year!!

New Lot
There is a new parking lot on the corner of Ashland and Addison; they are charging $10.

It is about 9 blocks to Wrigley from there and easier to get to from the Kennedy.

auto shop
there is an autoshop on halsted just north of addison that I park at when I come to town.  It's been $20 for the past 3 years.

Also on Halsted
There's a church next to the IHOP that I think only charges $20 for slow days, and it's very easy to exit.

Park on the street...
There are always places to park a few blocks South of the field.
Try Clark and Roscoe or Buckingham. Never have any problems...have fun!

2 options
There is a lot on Irving Park road over by the tracks. IIRC $10 and only about 10 minute walk. Also there is a lot down the street from the music box, though it's a school lot so I imagine that wouldn't be an option for today's game.

Park on Clark Street--
Well north of the ballpark.  Then catch a bus to Wrigley.  I've never paid for parking at a Cub game.
