Strung out sale process could set this team back years

This year is looking more and more like it will be another throw away season.  Until this team has an "architect" and not a "bricklayer" in the GM position, you will continue to have this pattern of (looks good on paper), but falls short on the field.

If the sale get's strung out, and Hendry is a lame duck GM, this team could be set back for 2-3 years before a new GM has the opportunity to assemble a club designed to win games, and start to change the entire organizational philosophy from the ground up.

Prospective buyers have got to be looking at this and thinking about the impact all the backloaded deals Hendry has put together, and the type of impact that will have long term.  I am growing very tired of Hendry's square peg in a round hole strategies, and after investing 600 million of the tribs money since 03, all he has is 9 games under .500 to show for it.  The Cubs have to have the worst wins/dollars spent ration of any team in MLB during Hendry's tenure.
