DLee, one of the greatest?

I have not read many postings of the season DLee is having thus far. So, in wasting time on an off day, here's to jumping on the DLee bandwagon. .415 average, leading all major league players. Leading both leagues in doubles. The guy is locked in and has turned into a hitting machine. I know his homerun total is down so far but I am positive he will turn that around.

Is Derek one of the super stars and do we as Cubs fans really appreciate what we have? (The guy is a total class act, someone you would want your children to emulate.)

Second topic for discussion: what will his final numbers be for 2007? I don't believe he will keep up the +.400 pace but can he top the .335 average and 46 home runs of 2005? Lastly, what kind of stardom would we be seeing if he had not been injured during hte peak of his career last year? Do fans from around both leagues understand what kind of hitter he has become are they focused too much on Yankees, Red Sox, etc?

A lot of discussion points, just wanting to see your thoughts on a true Cub star. Thanks!
